Hometown Heros
For decades Florida Realtors and its members have been advocates for affordable housing. In light of escalating housing costs, Florida Realtors are joining forces to support the creation of the "Florida Hometown Hero Housing Program (SB788)". If approved this bill would offer zero-interest loans and help with down payments and closing costs for essential professions including nurses, firefighters, teachers, and law enforcement.
Additionally, Hometown Heros who already own a home may receive assistance from bill SJR 1746 in the form of increased homestead exemptions for teachers and front-line workers.
